On the way to Didima

After the Drie Provinsies trip we decided to do the "twelve passes" tour which we had seen in a magazine. Fortunately I plotted the passed on my GPS before setting off as otherwise we would never have found some of them.

After having lunch at "Drie Provinsies" Herman and Ronel gave us a route near Memel which gave the co-ordinates for a route in the area. This route was lovely and we did this before starting on the "passes" trip.

However it was late and we decided to stay in Memel and here we found a lovely camping ground and we booked for breakfast the following day. This was a good move.

On the way to Memel we came across this lovely lily. There are a few different types.

A swimming hole on the route - but it was far too cold to swim.

Normandien Pass - this was a spectacular pass

Going down Mike's Pass there is only room for one vehicle in parts and we are waiting for one to ascend.

The two best passes were Normandien Pass and Mike's Pass.
