Part 5 of 6
Drotsky's Cabins - Botswana to Roy's Camp Namibia
Sunday 8 March
A chap at Drotsky's Cabins said we should stay at Roy's Camp which is between Rundu and Grootfontein. The trip down was wet and I had forgotten about the suggestion. As I was playing with the GPS, Roy's Camp came up and we decided to just go and look and see what it was like.
It was lovely. Roy is unfortunately no longer with us but there are many signs of his artistic touch. From mobiles to wall decorations they were intriguing.
Each hut was different and it was raining on and off and I am glad I took the snaps while I had a chance.
We decide to go for a walk but it soon became too wet.
Even the spiders were rained on.
Monday 9 March
The Waterberge were next on our list. Sylvia had heard good reports. The route there was wet.
The first glimpse of the Waterberge.
We found a camp and when we heard that they wanted over a thousand rand per person for the night and that game drives were extra we left.
On our way out there were signs of washaways.
Where the grass is high alongside the road sometimes warthogs cross the road suddenly and they are rock solid and can cause a lot of damage to a vehicle.
I love the cloud formations and scenery.
From here we drove on to Gross Barmen near Windhoek.
