Land Cruiser Club Southern Africa (LCCSA)

On 5 May 2009 Andre de Jager started to arrange a get together at the Keg & Eagle on the West Rand. It took me a while to find the place on the GPS software but eventually I got that right. It was quite far from where we live.

In addition Alec Fourie (pictured below in fine detail) sent me a private message via the Land Cruiser Club to ask whether we would attend.

We arrived early and the pictures below were taken in the order of arrival (except for Wiets who is not a great poser). Usually by the time I get home I have no idea what the names are of the people in my pictures. So this time I cunningly prepared slips of paper with the names of accepting attendees in fairly large print. Then as they arrived I forced them to display their names as I took the snaps. It worked like a charm for me.

Have you ever tried to take pictures of vehicles in the dark? Well it is not that easy even with a fairly big flash gun.

One of Fred's friends also came along but he kept a low profile throughout the evening.

It was a lovely evening although I am not sure what any onlookers might have thought.
