Land Cruiser Club Southern Africa (LCCSA)
Fips Becker's Party at Wiets Nell's Farm - Friday 8 May 2009.
Notice was given that Fips Becker was coming through this way with his wife before starting a tour through Botswana and Namibia.
There was a surprise as Fred was there too and he would be accompanying Fips and his wife on their trip. He was turned out in full Land Cruiser Club Southern Africa (LCCSA) regalia.
Fred was extremely excited as he had also accompanied a group from the club up Baboons Pass in Lesotho. He showed us his special shirt which he was given on that occasion.
However the party would be starting soon so he put on his formal attire. Fred likes to look smart even for a braai. He thinks it is far better to be over dressed than to look untidy.
Fips and his wife Dorothee arrived and he already knew a number of friends who he had met on earlier trips.
While fires were being lit the ladies gossiped happily. (Segregation of SWAMBOS is sometimes necessary.)
Four experts keeping an eye on the braai to make sure the meat was cooked to perfection.
At the table - wow this was nice - especially as it was warm inside because Wiets had lit a fire earlier.
Wiets explaining how big the fish was that he caught.
Jacques Marais - thinking about going under the table.

This was a super party and the guests that were driving home only lefet after midnight. Early in the morning while it was still dark the rain began to fall and it was lovely to hear the raindrops on the tin roof.
Thank you Wiets and Natasha for putting us up for the night.
