LCCSA Christmas Dance / Fund Raiser for DLP
DLP stands for Desert Lion Project - http://www.desertlion.info/ This effort run by Dr Flip Stander is very dear to many LCCSA members who also support Flip's efforts financially.
Christo Blaauw - an LCCSA addict - posted the suggestion on Thursday October 15, 2009 at 7:24 am that "I can organise a venue, play the music... " The date decided on was Saturday 28th November and the venue - Kempton Park High School Hotel School Hall - starting time 18h30 for 19h00.
The party was a wonderful success - a really enjoyable occasion.
Below are some of the snaps I took - My apologies to one or two couples, whose pictures did not come out well - so badly in fact did they come out that I have not posted them here. And to make matters worse I thought some snaps were nice and therefore some people appear more than once. I sorted the snaps so the people appear first.
For those that did not attend, and as a memory for those that did, I have added what follows.
By the time you have read some of this drivel hopefully the pictures have loaded.

For the railway enthusiasts (and others) a train! What fun!
The auction attendees - Alec Fourie gave away the bargains - with what appeared like Lindi raising the bar at times. (Has anyone watched "The Real Hustle" on BBC Television?)
The venue was lovely.
The food was good.
The music was excellent.
The company was typical LCCSA people.
This was a lovely party. Thank you to everyone who made it special.
