Experiment - Namib April 2008

I have loaded nearly every picture we took on a magnificent trip to the Namib in April 2008. There is also a trip report "Namib April 2008" but many of the pictures I have now loaded were missing. Many of the pictures were taken quickly and they are loaded in the order they were taken except for the opening lioness,

Two calamities befell us on this trip. The one was our fuel pump failed and we had to hitch a ride after the first day of the Namib tour. The second was my camera got dust on the sensor and there were three spots on every picture - many of these have been removed. To just clean up the pictures ready to download has taken me a week but looking at nearly each one carefully brought back vivid memories of the time we were there.

Some of the pictures show how big the dunes are in places and why it is nice to be in a group as your chances of getting out alone might be nil if a problem arises. You would have to view these pictures as large as possible to see the vehicles as they are only just discernible.

The canoe ride after the Namib bit was lovely and the people there were very kind to us in many ways.

Now I have played with the screen settings on my computer and have no idea how the pictures might look on your screen. Hopefully they are not too much of a mess.

I note with interest that some people are still viewing our old web address and I have no way of altering the pages on that site. I also note that some people viewing the web sites are in places far removed from where we are.

All the links are semi private in that you have to know the link addresses.

That means Part 2 onwards are superfluous but it has taken me so long to load them that I am certainly not going to delete those links with their pictures yet! Also the sort near the end looked as if it had not worked.)
